The application channel is temporarily closed.

We are finishing the hardening work on the intake system before opening it. Nothing you sent has been stored, and nothing has been received by us. There was no submission.

When the channel opens, the form on the Join page will accept applications again. There is no waitlist, no notification list, and no way to register your interest in advance. Please check back in a few weeks.

Thank you for your patience.

Application form

Every field is reviewed by the steward, not by an algorithm. There is no waitlist, no automated reply, and no way to track an application's status. Take a few minutes to write what you mean.

Sign in with GitHub to continue

We confirm your GitHub identity before you fill in anything else. There is no other way to apply: we only invite people whose GitHub account we have verified.

Membership is by introduction. Name the member, or describe how they told you to apply, in enough detail that the steward can verify it. Applications without a verifiable reference are almost never approved.
Tell us about yourself, in your own words. Do not include details that could identify you to anyone who is not already supposed to know: full name, employer, exact location, family members, account names you use under your real identity. Do not name third parties who have not consented to being named.

Once submitted, your application is encrypted on receipt and reviewed offline. If approved, your invite arrives through GitHub at the username you provided. You will hear back within 14 days through the channel you provided, or not at all.
